So I finally developed those 4x5 photographs that I took of the cable bridge in the tri-cities, for not having a meter I think they come out pretty good. Most of them were a little to dark but one came out just right. Thank god for bracketing right, well I scanned in the one that came out, me and one of the other students her kind of became mad scientist at this point we were seeing how big of a print we could get and ended up scanning it at 6,200 dpi in the very beginning. It took 30 minutes to scan and 15 min. to open in Photoshop and when it did finally open in Photoshop only ¼ the image was there, the other ¾ consisted of some weird noise that I can’t quite explain. It was so big that Photoshop couldn’t support it. So we ended up scanning it in at 2,400 and I got an image with the size of 20 in by 30 in at 400 dpi man 4x5 rules I’m going to print it at that size for a poster. It’s going to rock.
I need to get some pictures printed for the photo contest that we are having her so I’ll do that some time today. Other than that nothing too big going on.
Yesterday after I got done messing around scanning I ended up feeling like I was coming down with something and since I have such a big weekend I didn’t want anything to get in my way. So I went home and went to sleep from around four tell eight o’clock this morning. That was a good sleep……..know I feel lots better and am totally pumped for tomorrows long ass day.
Random bit:
Who said being a photographer was easy, I do just as much work and more than a lot of other people around the world, working for someone is way harder than having people work for you even more in this field.
We are strong, we are proud, we are photographers.
Well that’s all today, I thought that I would give you guys a short one for a break and I’m going to go fool around with Photoshop.
